Please be cautious when finalizing a marriage proposal. Don’t rush into a nikkah without proper investigation.

Sadly, I keep hearing deeply disturbing stories. Families present themselves as pious and decent, but once the marriage begins, their true nature comes out—greed, emotional abuse, and in many cases, serious psychological issues within the groom or his family.

This can happen even in well-educated households, even when the mother is a working professional. Many families act extremely kind before marriage, only to completely change afterward. The most painful part? It’s almost impossible to see their true colors until it’s too late.

Girls step into marriage full of hope and dreams, only to face heartbreak within months. We assume things are improving with time, but in reality, it feels like they’re getting worse.

May Allah protect us all from such deception. I wish there were a way to identify such families beforehand, but sadly, they hide behind masks until nikkah. Please stay alert, stay cautious, and stay safe.
